Environmental Not for Profit Organisations

There are many Community initiated Conservation Organisations that exist in the not for profit sector - which are created in order to further environmental protection efforts and to protect the integrity and values of society's highest ethical responsibilities and moral goals.

Socially driven organisations are often created in order to protect wildlife and the environment - and our region of the Whitsunday Queensland Coastline is indeed one of the most notable, internationally renowned environments on Earth.

With a UNESCO Heritage listing status (at risk of being revoked by global bodies), the Great Barrier Reef and it's surrounding region are some of the most pristine, wildlife rich locations in Australia.

There are many Conservation Organisations and Community initiated projects created here: whose function is solely intended to fundamentally ensure that no bureaucratic agencies can devolve in their duties. This is seen to happen universally where financially lucrative vested interests clash with environmental protection and preservation.

Independent agency and autonomy help prevent issues of unintended capture, collusion and apathy.
Those that turn a blind eye are just as guilty, ethically, morally and objectively - in cases of inaction and failure to function.

It's important to acknowledge that not all grassroots organisations remain independent of Government influence and capture. Government Financial grants, including both federally and at the state and local level, are apt to influence the behaviour and agency of the not for profits and their operations.

Let's focus some attention on the most renowned not for profits which we hope can be relied upon and give an overview of their action or inaction in assisting Our Community with ensuring proper procedure, legislation and assessments have taken place, are enforced and supported.

Below is an overview analysis of their funding from Government at Federal, State and Local Levels, by way of successful financial grants.
